Terms and Conditions for Website Use

Insurance

Trust Me Tree Care is covered up to $1,000,000 in public liability insurance. An insurance certificate can be supplied if requested by the client.

Payment Terms

Upon the successful conclusion of the project, an invoice will be issued in accordance with the specifications and standards detailed in the provided written estimate. The quoted price is fixed, and the full payment is expected within the specified timeframe on the invoice, unless an extended payment period has been mutually arranged and acknowledged by both parties upon accepting the estimate. The invoice will include details such as a bank account number and postal address for remittance, with the sole method of payment being bank transfers.
Should the client request additional work on the day of service, the foreman and client will determine and agree upon the corresponding price before proceeding. Any extra charges incurred will be reflected in the final invoice.

Under certain circumstances, particularly when substantial materials are necessary to complete the job, a deposit may be requested prior to the commencement of the work. Failure to fulfill the payment within the agreed-upon timeframe will result in the outstanding amount being forwarded to a debt collection agency for recovery. The client will bear all associated costs related to this process.

Cancellations

After accepting the quote and establishing a mutually agreed-upon date for the completion of the work, any cancellations must be communicated at least 1 working day in advance. In the event of a cancellation made within 24 hours of the agreed date, Trust Me Tree Care reserves the right to impose a cancellation fee of 20%.

Underground Services

The client or contracting company, commissioning the work, bears the full responsibility of identifying and informing Trust Me Tree Care about all underground services before the commencement of the work. Trust Me Tree Care cannot be held responsible for any costs or damages resulting from the agreed-upon work if there is a failure to communicate information about underground services in the immediate or surrounding area. This encompasses pipes and cables, and it is imperative that Trust Me Tree Care is provided with precise details regarding the location of all underground services.

Overhead Lines/Services

The owner is accountable for arranging the removal of overhead lines in or around the trees by an authorized electrician if such lines exist. Trust Me Tree Care will communicate this obligation to the client during the quoting process. The associated costs are the client's responsibility, and this task must be executed before Trust Me Tree Care begins the on-site work. In situations where power lines or other essential services are shared with neighboring properties, it is obligatory for the client to inform affected neighbors of the planned power shutdown during the period of the work.

Protected Trees

The client or contracting company is responsible for verifying with the council whether a tree is protected before initiating any work. Certain trees may be safeguarded under district plans due to their significance, historical value, or importance for amenity or erosion prevention.

Trust Me Tree Care disclaims any responsibility for tree work carried out without prior council approval, especially if the tree in question is deemed significant or falls under other protected categories.

Access and Hidden Obstructions

The level of property access must remain the same as, or better than, during the quoting process. It is the client's responsibility to promptly inform Trust Me Tree Care of any changes to the access level that could potentially complicate the job, and such changes may result in an additional fee being included in the final invoice. During the initial site visit, Trust Me Tree Care will thoroughly inspect the trees, stumps, and surrounding area. However, the possibility of hidden obstructions, such as nails or old wire fences, may only become apparent once the work is in progress. Trust Me Tree Care reserves the right to adjust the job price accordingly in such cases. If heavy machinery is deemed necessary on-site, Trust Me Tree Care will inform the client during the quoting process. While every effort will be made to minimize disruption to the property and surrounding areas, Trust Me Tree Care cannot be held responsible for any unavoidable damage to driveways, footpaths, grass, etc.

Property Boundaries

It is strongly recommended that the client communicates with and informs all immediate neighbors about the scheduled date for tree work commencement. This proactive approach helps minimize surprises and ensures a smoother process for all parties involved.
The customer is responsible for identifying the boundary line and notifying Trust Me Tree Care of any potential conflicts before work begins. If the trees are located on a boundary or shared fence line, the client must secure written approval from neighboring properties before commencement of work.
Trust Me Tree Care will not assume liability for any complaints or claims arising from tree work conducted.

Stump Grinding

At the time of quoting, stumps will be ground to a depth agreed upon by both parties. Unless there is written agreement specifying removal, all grindings will remain on site. These grindings will be utilized to backfill the hole and spread around the adjacent area whenever feasible.
In cases where there is substantial debris under or near the stump, we will use our grinder to remove as much of the stump as safely possible without causing damage to the machinery.
